Our minds largely trust photography to be an accurate, two dimensional representation of the visual world. By repeating and combining single photographs into a radial pattern, I hope to confuse the mind momentarily by evoking new spaces with familiar features and perhaps seduce the viewer into looking a bit longer. Besides repeating a single image multiple time, no other “app tricks” have been applied. If you look closely you will find the original single photo in each image for an, AHA! moment.

Radial Symmetry We are likely drawn to the stability and predictability of symmetry, with each element a part of the whole, suggesting unity and infinity. This concept has been applied in many cultures in the form of mandalas. The desire for unity and predictability continues to resonates today.
